Designing a Home on the Web

Web Analytics, Website Statistics, SmarterStatsWhile it might not be a real home technically, a website is an amazing place that you can share your life with your friends, family and even perfect strangers if you want! I find that building a website to be a really fun hobby for people of all ages. Whether you’re a grandmother or a father, or a child, web design is a great way to get to know how the Internet works while introducing you to some basic coding or, for some, complex coding! This is where I’ve learned the vast majority of my programming knowledge. I have spent a lot of time developing web sites for fun and pleasure. I have a couple of websites that I might consider my more professional mediums but for the most part, I simply enjoy playing around with code and creating neat little sites that might do different things. Graduation is Here but Are the Jobs

guardianjobs jobs guardian co uk jobs graduateThat time of the year has come and gone, where thousands of our proud students are handed their diplomas after years of schooling. They put an old life behind them and seek to embrace a new future in their fields, going into the world where they will hopefully bring about change, progress and economic success not just for themselves but the nation as a whole. Whether we recognize it or not, we all work together toward a singular idea. Still, a problem is lurking on the horizon as those same newly made professionals seek their graduate jobs in hopes of starting the better life that they were promised by their parents, by their teachers and by our culture as a whole. Writing About Something You Love

Buy Products from JEM Promotional ProductsBeing a writer is sometimes tough. Coming up with things is not that easy but once you get into a groove you can write about a lot of things and you can do it pretty fast. That’s what is called being in the groove. Although this muse doesn’t happen often it is great.

One thing writers don’t want to be is corporate products. It makes us feel like shills and just another thing to be used. So most writers always feel cautious before trying to sign any big time contract. Always make sure to read the fine print! Don’t want to get caught up in a manner in which you are in a worst situation that gives up rights to your stories when you don’t want to. (more…)

Looking for a New Writing Job

I really needed to find a new writing job. I had a job and I actually made quite a bit of money, but I was not happy. I wanted to do something that made a difference. I wanted others to be happy and I wanted to help that happen. I had heard of a group that attempted to promote freedom of press and I wanted to see what I could do to be a part of that. I had previously worked in technical translations and I knew that background would be helpful. I looked online to see what kind of information I could find about any job that would allow me to help others. I found some information, but not a lot. It seemed that a lot of these organizations were run by people who already had money.

Inspirational Picture Quotes Invigorate My Dreams

Sometimes when I sit down at the computer to get working on my life’s dreams, I find myself lacking in motivation. I mean seriously, it is so easy to get sucked into constantly refreshing my email inbox and surfing kitten videos. But, my writing does not type itself out.

That is why I have my homepage set to display a random selection from a collection of inspirational picture quotes. Seeing one of those early in my computer session usually gets me in the right frame of mind to try and at least get something done. One of my favorites is one that comes up kind of often. It is a pair of really dirty hands laying out a piece of paper on a table that says how the future ahead of us is only owned by those still willing to get their hands dirty.

Another inspirational quote that I love is one that says we have the entirety of eternity to think inside the box. Of course that one assumes we have some kind of eternal soul even when we do not live in bodies. But, I do find that inspirational picture quotes usually have a spiritual bent to them.

Picture quotes are often basic in their imagery, but they have to be in order to be effective. The truth in the words is often profound yet simple, so of course the picture itself has to be a background so that you actually read the words. I doubt anyone will ever win a prize for how artistic the photos are themselves.

Of course, many of these photos could have more than one saying typed on them and still have impact. Picture quotes rarely are attributed to individuals. Still, someone had to think of the saying? I wonder why they do not want credit.
